a computer science faculty is full of surprises... as occasionally when being in need of a rest, I was wandering through the corridor searching for someone to visit. and in linas' office i found salvation, looking like this:

Veronika, this is one of the most stupid things created by humans. Sorry for being so critical. Also, find out the Lithuanian name for this thing and you will think differently:)
:D you know, i dont mind.. in the end the fact that there is no need of intellectual effort for amusing oneself with these things is probably why i find them so relaxing... i just dont have to think and can focus my attention on something really pointless :P (kind of like sleeping and still better than observing the laundry machine :)
you made me curious, what would be the lithuanian name for those?
Really, what is lithuanian name for this? "maišaspyris"? :)
Truly, the word usually used is in Lithuania is not very Lithuanian and gives an unnecessary meaning for it. Usually the new term should represent the essence of the object or describe it. I am not very sure how it is made, the ball itself. A stuffed bag or knitted ball? "Maisaspyris" sounds like a ball game with a big bag, but it might be closest possible word.
Another option would be to focus on the time killing properties of this game. Laiko stumikas or laikstumis...
Anyway, I still think there are better ways to kill time. For emergency cases:
